XVIII International Glyptography Conference

The 18th International Conference on Glyptography will be held in Spain at the Cardenal Herrera – CEU University in Valencia under the guidance of Professor Raul Romero Medina from Monday, July 23rd to Friday, July 27th, 2012.

The International Center for Glyptics Research (C.I.R.G.) was created in Belgium in 1979 based on recognition of the fact that lapidary signs are present everywhere in the world, while study of these signs was at that time almost nonexistent because of the lack of properly developed and comprehensive research methodology. Since 1979 C.I.R.G. has regularly hosted international conferences to promote, organize and publish the study of stone marks.
